Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
Dr Charlotte Farrant
MBChB; FRANZCOG
Dr Charlotte Farrant is an experienced consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with over two decades of clinical practice dedicated to women's health. She provides comprehensive care across a wide range of gynaecological conditions, supporting women at all stages of life with expertise, compassion, and respect.
Dr Farrant is known for her warm, approachable manner and her commitment to evidence-based medicine. She takes time to listen carefully to her patients, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and actively involved in decisions about their care. Her clinical interests span both general and complex gynaecology, with a strong focus on achieving the best possible outcomes tailored to each individual.
When surgery is required, Dr Farrant has extensive surgical experience including with minimally invasive techniques, which can support faster recovery and reduced post-operative discomfort. She currently works as a specialist at Whangarei Base Hospital, where she continues to contribute to high-quality, patient-focused care.
Dr Farrant is passionate about empowering women through clear communication, clinical excellence, and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

Dr Caitlin Prendergast

Dr Caitlin Prendergast is a consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician who is proud to have returned to Northland to care for the community that helped shape her. Born and raised in the region, she brings a deep understanding of the local population and a strong commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care.
Dr Prendergast is passionate about advocating for equitable access to high-quality gynaecological services, particularly for women in both urban and rural communities. She believes in partnering with patients, taking the time to listen, and delivering care that is respectful, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual's needs.
An experienced colposcopist and surgeon, Dr Prendergast has a special interest in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. Her approach focuses on offering effective treatment options that support faster recovery, reduced discomfort, and improved long-term outcomes.
Through her private practice, Dr Prendergast is dedicated to providing a supportive, professional environment where women feel heard, informed, and confident in their care.

Caryn is an experienced gynaecology and colposcopy nurse with over 10 years dedicated to women's health. She has worked extensively across gynaecology and colposcopy services, supporting women through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment with both clinical expertise and compassionate care. Caryn brings a strong foundation in clinical practice and service development, with a clear focus on delivering safe, high-quality care.
She is passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive environment where women feel informed and confident in their healthcare decisions. Caryn understands that gynaecological care can feel vulnerable, and is committed to ensuring every patient feels respected, at ease, and well supported. Her approach is centred on listening, clear communication, and empowering women with the knowledge they need to make informed choices about their health.

Tiffany McMonagle
Tiffany is an experienced gynaecology practice secretary with many years' experience working in the public health sector. Having held a variety of roles within hospital services, she has a strong understanding of the complexity of the healthcare system and the challenges patients can face when navigating it.
With firsthand experience as a patient herself, Tiffany brings genuine empathy and insight to her role. She understands how overwhelming appointments, procedures, and waiting times can feel, and is committed to making the booking process as smooth, flexible, and stress-free as possible.
Tiffany is known for her friendly, non-judgemental approach and her dedication to supporting patients with care and respect. She takes pride in being approachable, organised, and helpful, and strives to ensure every patient feels heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
